The cold steel tracks that lead your eyes miles down. The many trains that rely on them for transporting goods as well as people to their final destinations. Unlike roads these tracks have been un-touched for many, many years. Reliable.

The rails have been a system of transportation for years. From steam to modern day fuel engines that create a unbelievable amount of horsepower. Years ago riding a train was only available to the wealthy, but now anybody can ride on the train. From the underground rail systems of New York, to the above street systems of Chicago.

Sometimes when watching the trains pass I wonder what kind of people are on it and where they might be going. Are they going to visit relatives or just heading to the city to go bar hopping with friends? Regardless of who is on the train passing, they picked this type of transportation for its reliability and affordable cost.

I took this picture toward the end a May this year..(2004). It was about 8pm and the sun was setting with a warm glow in the sky. I used a Pentax K-1000 with 100-speed film set a 250 with an aperture of 2.

I was very happy with the result I got, at the time my light meter was not working so I was really shooting blind.

I am just beginning to get into photography and am happy with this old school camera. As you can see the quality that it produces is better then some new cameras.
