Some people may think that girls can't do Industrial Arts as good as them, but they got that all wrong. We can do it better! Whether it's taking apart motors or making stuff out of wood.

Every girl and boy like challenges with each other, and in shop you have that experience, you get to see who's better at what. In this picture are Alisha and Dannie; they are having a blast taking apart a motor from a lawnmower. Almost every girl that takes shop absolutely loves it. For instance I love shop, my teacher Mr. Weller said that I am one of his best students. Through my family, I have people that are awesome at shop. My grandpas make stuff out of wood all the time. My dad works on his car when it has problems and his tractors, lawnmowers when they aren't working.

My two brothers were in shop and made all sort of stuff like dressers mirrors, clocks, and much more. My sister has also made stuff like a coffee table, stools, and a clock. I have made a Christmas decorations such as a reindeer fixture. I have also made a clock, mirrors, and much more. Shop is one of my favorite things.

I think that everyone should take shop in their lives during their years in middle school or high school. I think that it will help them in their future.

When your in shop you learn all the tools and how to use them. You lean how take apart motors, which can help you so you know what you can do if your lawnmower breaks down or if your missing parts and need to go buy a new one. You learn a lot of stuff that could help you with your future.

So girls when you get older and get married your husband will be working on the mower or something and you can go and help him if he needs it, and he should be very impressed with what you can do! Alisha and Dannie look like they are off to a great start!
