Like a swan in the sky, over the Sacramento Valley summer blue skies of a warm September eve in 2003, this frame came and went in a flash of an eye... as if she were chasing the sunset.

I will never forget as I pulled up to my house, jumped out of my car, ran into my house (and tripped), grabbed my camera, and snapped this picture... looking better here than when I saw her first time. Brighter, more vibrant, her wings more swept as she soared... soared faster towards the sunset.

It always amazes me if we just stop, look, or even listen... just for a moment... what we can see beside us, behind us, below us, and in this case, above me. I wonder how many other people in Northern California that day saw what I saw. Of course, I also wonder, what did they see, that I didn't. Take a moment and look around you and don't let soaring sunsets go by without stopping to view them. Let them help you remember good times and good people. That's what life is all about.
