I was driving through a small East Texas town on my way to Houston, and there it was, for all to see. Right on the side of a business's warehouse, big and bold letters, an "I am proud of this message" and want you to have a chance to see it kinda thing. What a rarity in this day and time, who could be so bold as to display it, and what pressures have came to bare because of it. Four little words, and what a controversy they could stir.

There were no protesters, no signs or banners flying high through the sky. Only the calm, methodical traffic, traveling from here to there, and there to here. How could this be? Where were all the voices of concern? How could they let this shameful thing go on? But on it does go, just one mans simple faith, and his simple way to show it. But truly isn't that what this country was founded on. Wouldn't it be a shame if we forgot that? Wouldn't it be a shame if we just stood back and let it happen?

Maybe the people in this small town can show us a thing or two, and maybe we can learn from it. That not all religion is bad, that not all religion must be separated from our careers, and that not all religion has it's own small place to be hid away and kept out of sight. What ever your religion, be proud of it, don't hide it, and don't feel you have to.
