The sun begins to move below the horizon, it's been a good day at work, all is well...

Beauty can be found everywhere, but one of my biggest loves has always been sunsets. In mid-2002, I drove from Denver to Utah, and witnessed a sunset that made me want to get out of my car and sit there... do nothing but sit there and look in awe at one of the most peaceful events I'd ever witnessed. If it weren't for getting to visit my father, who I hadn't seen in over three years, I think perhaps I would have done exactly that.

... we notice the sun moving behind the foothills, and what an incredible display it produced. Quick to react, Justin grabs the camera and gets help up onto the roof, where the picture (one of three) is taken.

I am reminded of that sunset in Utah every time I look at this, and the joy at seeing my father again, who I had missed dearly. While we've never been on a very close level in each others company, I love him, and the rest of my family dearly, and cherish those few weeks I am able to see them every year - they live in England, where I am also from. On a lower level, it also represents where I live now, just outside Denver, and how happy I have been living here over the past year. There have been bad moments, but overall, I couldn't have asked for more...
